VATICAN CITY (KTRK) -- On this Easter Sunday, Pope Francis is recalling victims of what he calls "blind, brutal terrorism."

But, the Pope is also giving hope to Christians around the world.

This morning, Pope Francis was in St. Peter's Square leading Easter Sunday mass.

Tens of thousands of people patiently endured long lines, backpack inspections and metal detectors to enter St. Peter's Square for the Pope's Easter mass.

He denounced what he called "blind" terrorism, recalling victims of attacks in Europe, Africa and other parts of the world.

He also mentioned all the refugees who aren't being allowed into certain European countries.

He said the message of Easter is "a message of life for all humanity."
