HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A stolen car lost control and crashed into a home in northeast Houston, Thursday evening.

According to Houston police, the collision happened on the 3000 block of Kashmere near Collingsworth where the suspect stole the car earlier Thursday night, not knowing the owner's phone was still inside of it.

The owner used an app to track the phone, spotted the vehicle and began a chase. At one point during the chase, the suspect lost control of his car, ran off the road and hit the home.

The suspect almost hit a man inside as he walked out of the room.

Neighbors pulled the suspect out of the wreckage and he was transported to the hospital with minor injuries
