HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One person is dead after a shooting Wednesday night in southeast Houston.

Around 7:30pm shots were fired at a vehicle on Scenic Drive and Airport Blvd., according to Houston police. A passenger in the car, in his early 20's, was killed. Two more people were inside the vehicle and are being questioned by authorities.

"You not a man if you pull the trigger, put the gun down," Angela Cole said. "It's innocent people that are being shot at."

Police say the two claim they were being shot at and chased from MLK Blvd. and tried to get away. Shell casings were found in the street on Scenic Drive.

"We didn't know there were shell casing in the street until one of the witnesses said the car stopped here, and was also shooting at them," Det. E. Wohlgemuth said. "So we found additional evidence."

No weapons were found inside the car and no arrests have been made.
