It's not quite business as usual at Cafe Brussels. The cafe near downtown is the only Belgian restaurant in Houston. It's usually closed during the afternoon, but it was open all day Tuesday trying to help people come to terms with the tragedy unfolding in their country.

For average Belgians, the attacks are difficult to square with the historic image of their country. The images are painful to watch for us, so you can imagine, they're especially painful for those who live and have lived in Brussels.

One young man, Nitin Gupta, was supposed to travel to Brussels today for business. He was supposed to be on a flight that would've landed around the time of the attacks, but he changed his plans at the last minute. He's still shaken up after seeing what he narrowly missed.

"I was thinking of like being on good terms with people, like my grandmother passed away two weeks ago, so that," said Gupta.
