Police hunt for fatal shooting suspect in west Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in west Houston, and a search for the suspect is underway.

The call came in at about 10am in the 2500 block Old Farm Road. The caller told police someone came into an apartment and started shooting. Homicide investigators say one person is dead, but no other details on the victim are available.

The suspect has been described as only a black male wearing a red bandana, who may have fled into a nearby wooded area.

Police were searching behind a gas station on the corner of Stoney Brook Drive and Westheimer, looking for a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
