Life Flight responds after worker struck by vehicle at First Colony Mall

SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- A mall employee has been hospitalized after someone hit him with their car in Sugar Land.

It happened right before noon at the First Colony Mall.

The Sugar Land Police Department says the man was driving a pickup truck full of tree limbs when one fell out of the bed.

When he stopped on Mall Ring Road to pick up the limb, a driver struck him with their vehicle.

The victim suffered head injuries and was taken by Life Flight to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

There is no word yet whether the driver will be charged.
