Deputies: Woman run over by son in NW Harris Co.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Deputies say a woman has died after she was run over by her son twice in northwest Harris County today.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constables were called to an apartment complex around 2:30am in the 9700 block of Cypresswood.

Officers say a man and his girlfriend were in the front seat of the car, while the mother of the driver was in the back.

At one point, there may have been an argument. The victim got out of the vehicle, and that is when deputies say the man put the car in reverse, running over his mother.

The driver is then accused of putting the car in drive and running over his mother again.

The victim died at the scene.

Deputies say the man had alcohol on his breath. He was taken into custody. Charges are pending.
