Woman's naked body discovered in SW Houston ditch
A woman who appears to have been stabbed was found dead in a ditch today in southwest Houston.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Just across from the "West Place Green" neighborhood in southwest Houston, one woman's story met a tragic end. Her body was found naked and dumped in a ditch.

Hue Le told abc13 she was on a walk down Riceville School Road around 8 a.m. and as she was approaching Westplace Drive she made the deadly discovery.

"I scared. Sad, very sad," said Le. "I saw a police car and I called them. No. No clothes."

Neighbors, like Maria Pineda, woke up to crime scene tape blocking off the roadway.

"It's a safe neighborhood. That's all I know," said Pineda. "We have a police station at the corner. Nothing happens like this."

Homicide detectives with the Houston Police Department arrived a little after Le flagged down a patrol officer.

Sgt. A. Turner said the woman is either a Hispanic or white female in her 20s. He told us the woman was stabbed at least one time and investigators suspect her body was dumped at the location.

"It doesn't appear she was killed here," said Sgt. Turner. "Like I said, we're still in the early stages of our investigation."

Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area overnight or knows what happened is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
