COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (KTRK) -- A man got a ticket after he posted a video of himself driving through a Colorado apartment complex community.

Michael Dalton told local station KKTV that the video got attention when it was posted to the Woodland Park Facebook page and then, about a week later, a police officer showed up at his house with a ticket for him, citing reckless driving and running a stop sign.

Dalton recorded the police officer's visit. In the video he can be heard saying, "So you're writing me (a ticket) for the stop sign based on my video?"

You can see the stop sign in the last seconds of his video. Police say the video clearly shows Dalton running it.

Sgt. Andy Leibbrand, of Woodland Park Police, said, "Yeah, you have a First Amendment right to post whatever you want and you can, but if you're breaking the law and it's in our jurisdiction, then we can do something about it."

KKTV reports Dalton was also cited for harassment and trespassing due to a separate incident at that same apartment complex.
