Exclusive video of cruise captain being released from federal custody

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A dinner cruise captain accused of living under someone else's identity for 20 years is out of jail after posting bond. She does have to stay out of international waters.

This is exclusive video of Cynthia Lyerla as she's being released from federal custody. She faced a judge today.

The U.S. Attorney's office says back in the 1980's Lyerla started using the identity of a dead woman to obtain passports, driver's licenses and other documents. Investigators say Lyerla stole the identity after her husband was murdered years ago.
