Man with gunshot shows up on stranger's doorstep on Houston's south side

HOUSTON -- A man was shot and knocked on someone's door for help last night.

Houston police say the man told them he was shot off the South Loop and Cullen, on the southeast side, possibly at a bus stop.

He told police he walked all the way to a neighborhood several miles away and knocked on someone's door to get help after he was shot at least once in the stomach.

The man is now at Ben Taub hospital where police are talking to him to get more details on exactly what happened.
