Klein ISD investigating social media threats of violence at intermediate school

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Klein Independent School District is responding this morning to parents' reports of threatening comments made by students about a weapon on social media.

The district says students' comments indicated a weapon might be brought to Hildebrandt Intermediate School today, but no weapon has been found and the school district says it has identified the students involved.

"Parents reported to Hildebrandt administration that there were some students making threatening comments on social media last night. Some of the comments indicated a weapon might be brought to school today. Hildebrandt Intermediate School administrators are actively and swiftly investigating the threat, have identified the students involved in the social media chatter, and have not found a weapon. The investigation is ongoing and does involve the Klein ISD Police Department."
