A year later, search continues for couple's killer
It's been one year since an elderly couple was found brutally murdered in their northeast Harris County home.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- It's been one year since an elderly couple was found brutally murdered in their northeast Harris County home, and Crime Stoppers is reaching out to the public for any information regarding their deaths.

A neighbor found Don and Reda Rentz brutally murdered inside of their Kingwood home on March 7, 2015. Don was 83 and Reda was 80. The retired couple lived alone and were last seen alive on February 26, 2015.

"It's one thing to find out your loved one has died from natural causes but to find out they were brutally murdered in their home and that's hard to take," their daughter, Judith Crane, said.

The couple died from blunt force trauma. Investigators believe robbery was the motive.

"If you're the one who committed this crime, I hope you will come forward to take responsibility to what you've done," Crane said.

Don was a Navy veteran. His wife volunteered at their church. They were married for almost 60 years.

It's been an entire year since they were killed, and still there's no justice.

"I just have two questions. Who and why? I am hopeful that the killer confided in someone and that God will move your heart to come forward with information needed to solve this case," Crane said.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of the suspect in this case.
