Thief breaks into car, steals box with dog's ashes
A man says a thief broke into his car outside a Pasadena restaurant and took a box containing his beloved dog's ashes.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Jesse Sosa raised Moose from a puppy. He doesn't have any kids and refers to Moose as his child.

This past November, Moose started to change. He had a limp and wouldn't eat. Vets found he had bone cancer. Sosa didn't want to see his "boy" suffer any longer, so on February 26, he had him put down.

"It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I kept waving it off," Sosa said.

The next week, Sosa had Moose's remains in his truck as he ate dinner at a Pasadena wing joint. A thief broke into his truck and stole his credit cards, checkbook, Bible and an urn holding Moose's ashes.

"Just drop him off, no questions asked. I just want my dog back," Sosa said.

Reporter Chauncy Glover will have the full story tonight on Eyewitness News at 10pm.
