ENID, OK (KTRK) -- Some scary moments for an Oklahoma mother when she awoke to find her three children gone.
The good news was they weren't taken. The bad news? They took the family's car out for a spin.
Mom says she took a nap because the kids were sleeping, but when she awoke, the kids had vanished.
Police say the three kids, the eldest just six years old, drove the SUV in reverse.
The kids traveled a few blocks before slamming into another car. Fortunately, they were not seriously hurt.
"You teach your kids 'no' in a lot of things. Don't stick your fingers in the light sockets, don't do these types of things," says Enid Police Capt. Jack Morris. "Well you can do the same thing with your vehicle and your keys, and let them know that is something they never touch."
Police say the whole thing was an accident. CPS will still be called out to look into the family.
