HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- A nurse has been charged with sexual assault in an alleged attacked on a woman while she was patient at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital.

Brandon Jay Faunce, 45, was working as a nurse in June 2015. A patient at the hospital told Humble police that while she was alone in the room, a nurse came in and gave her a white pill of an unknown substance. The woman said that as the pill took effect, she couldn't talk and had limited movement, but was conscious and could see what was happening in the room.

She told police that while she was in this state, she was sexually assaulted by the male nurse.

According to court documents, Faunce was identified via DNA testing and a photo lineup. He is charged with sexual assault of an adult. Bail has been set at $100,000.
