Major toll road closures this weekend in Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Watch out for major closures along the Harris County toll system this weekend.

If you commute on the west side of town, along the West Beltway, you will see a major closure between I-10 and 290. This will impact neighborhoods like Tanner Heights, Jersey Acres, Lakes on Eldridge.

The closure will last from 5am - 11am on Sunday, possibly affecting your drive to church services. Plan on taking Gessner or Eldridge as an alternate.

Additionally, there's another total closure of the Hardy Toll Road, both northbound and southbound between I-45 and FM-1960, all weekend long. The lanes will shut down at 10pm on Friday until 5am on Monday. Your best alternate route will be I-45, the North Freeway.
