PROVIDENCE, RI (KTRK) --A high school basketball team learned a critical lesson the hard way: Don't celebrate a game win prematurely.
During the Rhode Island Division III title game between the Burrillville Broncos and the Chariho Chargers on Sunday, a Broncos player threw the ball in the air to run down the clock. The team thought they had secured the win and piled on top of each other in the middle of the court in celebration.
But with one second left on the clock, the Chargers called a time out. The team went on to make an incredible last-second play that won the game 60-59.
