HOUSTON (KTRK) -- He may be half-masked, but officials hope whatever is visible in this sketch will be enough for someone to recognize the man who attacked a mother and her infant son inside their northwest Harris County home.

The attack happened around 10pm February 7 at a home in the 5500 block of Cairnleigh Drive.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a 25-year-old mother inside the home heard the suspect break a window at the back of her home. The suspect confronted the mother and hit in the head and face as she held her five-month-old son.

The woman suffered several cuts and bruises to her face. Her child also was hurt, but neither suffered life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a skinny build and black, spiky hair. He was wearing black or dark blue jeans but had no shirt or shoes on.

The suspect may have cuts on his hands from breaking the window of the home.

An one with information is urged to call the Harris County Sheriffs Office Safe Home Task Force at 713-755-9100.
