Officials call off toddler's arrest
Officials in Egypt have called off the arrest of a toddler after claims of mistaken identity

A 3-year-old boy is apparently off the hook after being sentenced to life in prison last week.

Authorities are acknowledging it's a case of mistaken identity.

A military court found Ahmed MansourQoranySharara, and 115 other people guilty of killing three people and sabotaging public and private property during a political demonstration in January 2014. At the time, Ahmed was only 16 months old.

The officials' decision is a relief after the boy's father, MansourQoranySharara, spent nearly 18 months on the run. He had been avoiding authorities who had previously detained him when they came to arrest his young son.
