Video: Theft suspect steals purse from real estate office

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A surveillance camera was rolling when a man walked into a Spring-area real estate office and stole a purse belonging to the receptionist.

According to the office manager, the suspect came in and told the receptionist he was interested in two properties. An agent came out to greet him, and after a short conversation, he asked to go to the restroom.

The suspect wandered about the building and went rummaging for valuables in offices. Inside one office, he snatched the wallet out of an agent's purse. He returned to the front desk and when he noticed the receptionist was gone, he stole her purse.

Surveillance video shows the suspect reaching over the desk, grabbing the purse then walking out of the office.

He went right to a nearby Target and used a stolen card to make gift card purchases.
