The Harris County Sheriff's Office confirms the 17-year-old man pulled a gun and shot himself in the head in front of his mom and a deputy. The man has died as a result of those injuries.

His mother had taken her son to the substation to turn himself in. That is when deputies say he pulled a gun and killed himself.

Detectives say a troubling love triangle may be motive for the shooting.

The shooting happened just after midnight. Two men allegedly shot and killed a Hispanic man in his early 20s, and then fled the scene in a car.

We talked to a neighbor who has lived here for 11 years.

He wasn't at home at the time of the shooting, but was shocked to find out about it.

"It's a very peaceful neighborhood. Everybody knows everybody else. We live just like a family, but i don't know what happened today," said neighbor Mohammad Qureshi.

There is no word on the second suspect. The victim has not been identified.
