More bodies may be found at scene of two-alarm fire in Kingwood
Investigators have called for special equipment to help check for additional bodies at the scene of a two-alarm fire

KINGWOOD, TV (KTRK) -- Firefighters say several more bodies may be at the scene of a two-alarm townhome fire where a body was already discovered.

Investigators say the cause of death for the person found may not be related to the blaze.

The fire broke out around 5:27am at the Riverview Townhomes at 703 Timberline Drive.

Marla Carter reports from the scene of the fire:

Homicide detectives are at the scene, working to determine how the person died.

HFD Deputy Fire Chief Blake White says the body was found in the back of one of those townhomes.

Firefighters say there is significant damage to the two townhomes involved.

ABC13's Marla Carter was the first at the scene. Our crew was moved back by firefighters as a precaution.

No injuries were reported.
