Father-of-the-bride goes missing at wedding

WALNUT GROVE, GA (KTRK) -- In what was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life, a California bride's wedding day turned into a desperate search for her father.

Bride Durga Moparti says she had just gotten married to the man of her dreams after all the photos were taken.

Her father congratulated her and went for a walk.

But after a huge reception that is when a red flag went up when Moparti realized her father hadn't returned.

Moparti said, "Maybe he had a little bit of an unconscious feeling or maybe some kind of dizziness or something. My dad missing is the only thing going on in my head right now, nothing else."

K-9 teams and divers are still searching the surrounding areas near the church. The family says they aren't giving up hope and praying for his safe return.
