SE Houston wreck ends with vehicle fire, death
Police say someone was killed in an accident off Airport and MLK that ended with a vehicle catching fire.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating a wreck involving a burning car, and someone who did not make it out alive.

The accident happened around 9:15pm at Airport and MLK.

Police say a car was speeding westbound on Airport when the driver lost control, hit several trees and flipped his car. The vehicle burst into flames.

The driver was knocked unconscious and was unable to make it out of the car. Several people stopped and tried to pull him out of the car but it was too late.

Police say many drivers tend to speed down that stretch of Airport Boulevard, and speeds bumps in the roadway have caused others to lose control of their vehicle.
