COLUMBUS, OH (KTRK) -- Police have shot and killed a man who they say randomly attacked people at a central Ohio restaurant with a machete.
Police say the man stormed into a Mediterranean restaurant in Columbus on Thursday evening and started attacking people. Four patrons were taken to an area hospital with injuries. They're expected to be OK.

The man fled the scene in a car and led police on a short chase. Police say they tried unsuccessfully to use a stun gun on him, and when he lunged at officers with the machete in one hand and a knife in the other, they say an officer shot him.
Police have not released the man's name.
It's unclear what sparked the attacks. The investigation is ongoing.
