Make your own chocolate-covered strawberries

Expect this Valentine's season to pay about $9 for a half-dozen package of chocolate-covered strawberries.

For about the same price, we can make two dozen.

First, we purchased a product called "Choco Maker" for less than $3 at HEB. We took two-dozen strawberries, washed and dried the fruit, inserted toothpicks into each one and used the Choco Maker.

Once you have completed dipping your strawberries, place on wax paper and let the strawberries chill for 5 minutes so the chocolate sets. Enjoy!
