Western NC county putting 'God' decals on patrol cars

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, NC -- Patrol cars in one western North Carolina county will soon display decals saying "In God We Trust."

According to WLOS, Rutherford County Sheriff Chris Francis has been considering displaying the motto on patrol vehicles for the last several months, but it wasn't in his budget

A local church offered to help by funding the purchase of the decals.

"I am very appreciative of the church's donation that has allowed this project to get underway," Francis stated in a press release. "I wholeheartedly believe in our nation's motto and am proud that it will be displayed on the Rutherford County Sheriff's vehicles."
