Inside Mardi Gras preparations in Galveston
Reporter Steve Campion takes a look at some of the preparations in Galveston ahead of this weekend's Mardi Gras.

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Get ready Galveston for another weekend of Mardi Gras celebrations. One of the big highlights promises to be the Knights of Momus parade on Saturday evening. Eyewitness News got a sneak peek at the 20 plus floats Friday morning. Knights of Momus President Scott Kusnerik said they are ready for the party.

The do's and don'ts of throwing Mardi Gras beads

"I suggest you come down. Get here early. Get down to the Strand and have a good time," said Kusnerik. "It's very exciting. It looks like we're going to have decent weather. Come down and party in Galveston."

The Knights of Momus parade kicks off at 6:30 Saturday night. It starts on Seawall Blvd, goes down 25th Street, and ends at the Strand District.
