Military veteran turns tables on would-be robber

MIMS, FL (KTRK) -- An armed robbery suspect might want to think twice before trying to pull off another heist. That's because the guy he tried to rob is a military veteran who wasn't going be a victim.

It happened this past Friday at a gas station in Brevard County, Florida. Store video shows the suspect approach the clerk and show a gun. Deputies say the suspect demanded money and handed the clerk a bag to put it in.

That's when the clerk, a veteran who did multiple tours of duty in Iraq, fought back and had the bad guy on the defensive.

The suspect ran out of the store and jumped into a getaway vehicle.

The suspect remains on the loose, but will probably think twice before trying that again!
