Project Saving Smiles provides free dental care for Alief ISD students

Project Saving Smiles is providing free dental care for Alief students.

If you've been to the LeRoy Crump Stadium athletic offices in Alief ISD lately, you probably noticed something quite different.

The offices were transformed Monday into dentist offices, providing free dental care for Alief ISD second grade students. According to the district, approximately 1,000 students will have free services that include screenings, fluoride varnishes and oral health education this week.

The program is sponsored by the Houston Department of Health and Human Services. The clinic will run through the entire week.
