HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Three teens and an adult were arrested overnight after a chase with police. Investigators said they were tied to at least seven robberies.
That's on top of accusations the teens stole a car from someone, and an attempt to run officers off the road.
The chase started around 2am and lasted for about 40 minutes.
Our cameras caught the chase in action. It all started when an officer attempted to pull over the suspects.
"They fled at a high rate of speed. Lead us on a chase for several miles from the Loop and north Main area, all the way over to the Museum District, back around downtown over to Montrose and the Heights over to the Garden Oaks area," said Sergeant John Nickell.
Nickell said during chase the suspects threw out purses, possibly weapons and at the final stop, cash.
"They ran two other officers off the road and another officer they ran off the road, they actually hit his vehicle during the pursuit," said Nickell.
Police said the crooks were driving a stolen car. A car that belonged to Ryan. We're not using Ryan's last name to protect him and the police investigation.
Ryan said on Friday to men carjacked him.
"I had just sat down and two guys can up behind me and I got a gun right behind my ear."
His girlfriend picked him up after. They thought, "There's no way I'm ever getting that back. I did not think that," said Ryan.
Ryan said the crooks must have thought the same thing, as they told him to call police after stealing his car.
"Then they told me to call the police, like they were making fun of me, and I'm like, I probably will and then sure enough, they caught him," said Ryan.
Investigators say the teens robbed people at random locations within the loop during a four-hour crime spree.
