Wharton police hope you can recognize this theft suspect.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police need help identifying a man who was caught on video stealing a barbecue pit and other items from a Buc-ee's store in Wharton.

The brazen theft happened around 5:30am January 18th at the convenience store in the 10000 block of Highway 59.

According to Wharton police, the suspect first walked into the store and stole several items from the shelves. He then got into a white Ford single cab flatbed truck and pulled into a fenced area housing several barbecue and fire fits. The suspects loaded one of each into the back of the truck and drove off.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing black pants, a gray shirt, an orange safety vest and a Browning ball cap.
