Serial rape suspect remains behind bars
A rape suspect is accused in five different cases that date back to 2014.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An accused serial attacker remains behind bars charged with breaking into women's homes to sexually assault them.

Police say Reginald Bond would sneak in in the middle of the night for the sole purpose of sexually attacking his victims. He has been linked to five cases in Jersey Village and Houston dating back to 2014. One was on Christmas. The most recent attack happened January 17.

In each case, the woman reported being awakened by a person being in her home and touching her in a sexual manner.

In one case, the person took an iPad. Police tracked the iPad to an address that led them to Bond. Bond consented to a DNA swab. It was tested and, according to a prosecutor, his DNA could not be excluded from matching, so he was arrested.

Bond has a clean criminal record in Harris County and a 2007 misdemeanor assault conviction in Missouri.

His attorney did not respond to a request for comment. He is being held in jail with no bond.
