Homeowners hold down burglary suspect caught in the act until police arrive

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One burglary suspect is under arrest, nabbed by police after interrupting some homeowners having lunch in their own home.

According to Houston police, the man was arrested at the home off San Felipe and Chimney Rock.

The homeowner tells Eyewitness News he happened to come home for lunch and encountered the suspect as he tried leaving through the back door. They reportedly caught and fought the suspect, holding him down until police arrived.

The homeowner said the suspect continuously apologized for breaking into the home. He described him as polite and remorseful for his actions.
