2 arrested after leading Houston police in chase

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two people are in custody for leading authorities on a chase near Downtown Houston.

Deputies initially spotted the driver speeding in the wrong direction near Reagan High School.

Instead of stopping, the man took off.

Deputies say during the chase the suspect threw a gun from his car.

He also hit a patrol car. The deputy in that car was not injured.

The chase eventually ended. Now, Houston police are checking to see if the man and woman committed crimes in other parts of Houston as well.
