AUSTIN, TX (KTRK) -- Family and friends rallied around an Austin couple to organize a wedding as the groom starts another fight against cancer.
Last summer, Trey Soto's leukemia went into remission. Along with his fianc, Paula Kellicker-Berton, they planned to get married in the spring.
That was until Soto's cancer returned.
Within three days, volunteers were able to turn a patient room at the Seton Medical Center into a makeup and dressing area for the wedding. The actual wedding ceremony was held in the hospital auditorium.
The couple couldn't believe it.
"Is this really happening, I've been planning a different wedding for six months," Kellicker-Berton said.
