Second suspect sought in murder of Houston security guard

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police need your help putting a man accused of shooting and killing a security guard behind bars.

Jonathan Vasquez, 21, is charged in the capital murder of 71-year-old Saul Cruz last month.

Police say Vasquez and 22-year-old Daniel Moreno ambushed Cruz from behind as he was working as a security guard at a local convenience store. They are accused of robbing him before he was fatally shot.

Investigators say they shot and robbed Cruz before running away.

A Crime Stoppers tip helped authorities identify the two suspects and Moreno is now in custody.
