Sex assault victim says suspect claimed to be Mike Tyson
Police are searching for a man who resembles boxing champ Mike Tyson after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman near downtown Houston over the weekend.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Celebrity sightings at nightclubs light up social media. When a man claiming to be former boxer Mike Tyson, who was also convicted of rape, made an appearance at two Houston clubs, tweets began circulating.

He had a face tattoo, similar to Tyson's. And he came with a man who claimed to be his manager, and a bodyguard.

When a woman at a midtown club said she was asked if she wanted to go to an after-hours party with Mike Tyson, she said yes. Hours later, according to sources, she called for an ambulance, calling police to report she had been sexually assaulted.

The group went to a second club, an after-hours spot on Washington. We're told the 28-year-old woman went to the restroom. Inside, the bathroom stall door was opened, and the would-be Tyson sexually assaulted her, then left.

The woman was taken to a hospital where a rape test was performed.

A booking agency that works with the real Mike Tyson stated he was in Florida this weekend. A tweet from Jenny McCarthy shows her and husband with Tyson at a radio event this past weekend, which was not in Houston.

A report has been filed with HPD and we're told investigators have taken the woman's statement.
