Driver slams into pole, in critical condition in NE Harris County

The driver of the pickup had to be cut from the vehicle, first responders say.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A driver is in critical condition after he slammed into a pole in northeast Harris County.

The accident happened overnight on FM 1960 and Moonshine Hill.

Investigators say the man crashed so hard into the pole, it snapped.

The driver was cut out of the vehicle by first responders after he became pinned inside.

He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
