Cypress kicker raises $32K for pediatric cancer research

Landen Nealy ends his senior season with a major gift in honor of his friend. (KTRK)

When Cypress Christian football kicker Landen Nealy lost his teammate and friend Vincent Salario to leukemia, he was moved to make a difference.

And a difference he did make.

Back in November, we told you about Landen's story in which he was working to raise money in honor of Vincent for pediatric cancer research.

For every field goal he made, the senior was seeking pledges from fans. Kick after kick, dollar by dollar, the total number of donations kept increasing.

We're now happy to report that Landen raised $32,000 for pediatric cancer.
