Strange incident leaves man in critical condition in E. Houston

Man in critical condition after strange turn of events in E. Houston
Police say a man is in critical condition after he threw himself on top of someone's car.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a man is in critical condition in east Houston after a bizarre chain of events which began with him throwing a rock at a car.

It all began just before 2am on Mobile Street near Uvalde Road.

A driver was making their way down Uvalde Road when the man threw a rock, cracking their windshield.

Officers say the driver turned into a church parking lot and called 911.

As the car was still rolling, the man threw himself on top of the hood and struck his head against the vehicle. The man rolled off the car to the ground below.

He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.

Houston police say no charges will be filed against the driver of the car.
