Beef patties recalled nationwide for potential wood contamination

The Food and Drug Administration has issued a recall for Sam's Choice burgers for potential wood contamination

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Huisken Meat Company has recalled their Sam's Choice Black Angus Vidalia.

The two-pound boxes contain six beef patties.

Apparently, nearly 90,000 pounds of meat may have been contaminated with wood materials.

The box should have a USDA mark that says EST394A, and a use by date of either May 17th, 29th or June 6, 2016.
