METRORail purple line resumes service after crash

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- METRORail service is back online after a crash this morning involving a vehicle near University of Houston.

The train on the purple line was involved in the crash with an SUV at around 9 a.m. near Scott and Wheeler.

A spokesperson for METRO said the crash resulted in no injuries among passengers. The crash, though, disrupted service momentarily.

Passengers were being transported by bus.
