Masked men pistol-whip woman during home invasion in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman is in the hospital after getting pistol whipped during a home invasion in Sunnyside.

Police were called to the home invasion on Knoxville near Ferdinand around 1 a.m.

Investigators say masked suspects forced their way into the woman's home, tied her up and then pistol whipped her.

The woman was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.

Authorities say the suspects were able to get away after the incident.
