Man trapped under home after foundation collapsed in northeast Harris County.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A foundation of a home partially collapsed Thursday night, trapping and injuring a man in northeast Harris County.

Westfield Fire Department responded to the scene in the 2300 block of Cromwell near Aldine Westfield Road.

The trapped person was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

According to reports at the scene, work was being done at the time that was related to flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.

The incident comes a week after a similar incident that resulted in the deaths of two people. In the Dec. 15 incident, two men were underneath a home on Olana Drive when the house shifted.

The house was also being worked on due to Harvey-related damage.
