Man taken to hospital after he was hit in eye by fireworks

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- There were a few fireworks mishaps Wednesday night.

A man was hit in the eye by a firework off Bammel North Houston near Highway 249.

Around 11 p.m., about 500 to 600 people were in the parking lot setting off fireworks or watching.

The man was hit in the face when someone else's firework went off while he was lighting a firework.

He was treated in an ambulance released.
