Houston Municipal Courthouse to reopen Monday
All court services will resume at the Herbert W. Gee Municipal Court house on Monday.

HOSUTON (KTRK) -- All court services will resume at the Herbert W. Gee Municipal Courthouse on Monday, Sept. 18, the city announced.

All services, including, judge trials, jury trials, arraignments, bonding, notary and weddings will resume on Monday. All defendants, witnesses and jurors should arrive to court as indicated on their court notices.

Defendants who had court appointments during the court's closure from August 25, 2017 through Sept. 16, 2017, will have until 5 p.m., Friday, Sept.29 to come in person to request a reset.

Full court services will also resume at all five satellite court locations at their normal operating hours.

Online and mail-in options as indicated on the website remain available.

The Gee Courthouse was temporarily closed to make repairs after the building received extensive flood damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. Repairs to the basement are ongoing.

Deferred Payment and Bond Administration Services previously available on the basement level have been relocated to the first floor.

The criminal courthouse will remain closed for months for repairs.
