HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police are searching for an unidentified man connected to seven convenience store robberies across the city.

Police say the suspect usually poses as a customer looking for cigarettes or coffee before drawing a silver pistol and robbing the store at gunpoint. In most cases, he is wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap.

According to police, the suspect is a black male around 5 feet 8 inches tall and is average weight. He was last seen driving a gold or silver Lincoln Town Car.

Police say the man has assaulted at least one store clerk since starting his series of robberies in October. On November 3, police say the man robbed three gas stations across Houston in less than seven hours.

Anyone with information related to the suspect or robberies should contact the HPD Robbery Division at 713-308-0700 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
