HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Here's some help to keep those New Year's Resolutions! We asked ABC-13 viewers for their favorite local gyms, and we compiled the top 10 list.

Uptown Fitness

Uptown Fitness is the crowd favorite among ABC-13 viewers for the best place to get in shape. Right now, the gym is offering a LivingSocial special where you can get a one-month membership or three boot camp sessions for just $30.

P3 CrossFit

A viewer said P3 is "perfect for the CrossFit fanatic or the guy or gal looking to get in a fun and challenging daily sweat session. Anyone and everyone will feel right at home." If you'd like to get started at P3, they offer a O complimentary one-on-one intro session during which you'll get a chance to learn a lot more about their program and actually experience a CrossFit workout for yourself.

Memorial Athletic Club

MAC offers something for everyone - aquatics, yoga, spinning, Pilates, and more! There are over 165 group exercise classes each week. "Memorial Athletic Club has the best service, the friendly staff, awesome classes and a KidZone that the kids beg to go to!" one viewer wrote.

C4 CrossFit

If you're in the Katy/Richmond area and looking for a CrossFit gym, C4 comes highly recommended! One viewer describes it as a "group of amazing coaches tailoring workouts to each individual and an amazing family of athletes all building each other up and working towards a common goal. Won't find a better place out there!"

Atomic Crossfit

Atomic opened in 2008 in Stafford and is a favorite among those in Southwest Houston. If you're reluctant to try CrossFit, try Atomic's free trial class for those who are in town and thinking about joining.

CrossFit Thunderdome in Crosby has a free community workout every Saturday at 9 a.m. Bring a friend or family member and try it out! "Everyone is awesome there from the coaches to the people working out there. They really help you push through," one viewer said.

Lifetime Fitness Lake Houston

Although there are several Lifetime Fitness locations in the area, Lake Houston was mentioned more than any other. The gym offers indoor and outdoor pools, an indoor rock wall, tennis courts, Pilates studio, and more. Viewers say the facilities at Lake Houston and several other locations stay very clean, despite having a large membership. You can try any location after getting a complimentary pass online.

Life Fit Personal Fitness Studio

Life Fit offers a unique workout plan for its clients. Each day, the workouts are geared to a specific part of the body. For example, Upper Body Mondays, Lower Body Tuesdays, Core and Cardio Wednesdays, etc.

Studio Fitness

You can join Studio Fitness in the Heights for as low as $25 per month. They also offer several group fitness classes, including CrossFit, Spin, Barre, yoga, and more!

Orangetheory

If you've never heard of Orangetheory, it is heart-rate monitored training designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. There are currently two Houston-area locations - one in Tanglewood and the other in Sugar Land, and three more are opening soon. Viewers call it a "must try," and anyone can take one complimentary class.
